Scheme for Celebration of Birth/Death Anniversary of Eminent Personalities

🎯 Objective of the Scheme:
To honour and commemorate the contributions of eminent national and regional personalities by celebrating their birth or death anniversaries through cultural or public events.
This promotes:
- National pride
- Cultural values
- Awareness among citizens about the contributions of these figures
👤 Who are Eminent Personalities?
These include, but are not limited to:
- Freedom fighters
- Social reformers
- Writers, poets, and artists
- Politicians with historical significance
- Educationists and scientists
- Religious and spiritual leaders
🛠️ Activities under the Scheme:
The scheme generally supports or organizes:
- Cultural programs (music, dance, drama, etc.)
- Seminars and lectures
- Competitions (essay, debate, quiz in schools/colleges)
- Photo exhibitions
- Publication of literature or booklets
- Garlanding/statue ceremonies
- Screening of documentaries or films
💰 Financial Assistance:
- Funding is provided by the government for organizing events.
- May include honorarium for artists/speakers, logistics, publicity, etc.
- Sometimes partnerships with schools, colleges, NGOs, and cultural institutions are encouraged.
